9 . When Tamara Tells D’Nisha What Anthony Said About Shayla! ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ”ฅ Her Reaction Is UNBELIEVABLE

The afternoon sun was streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows of D’Nisha’s high-rise apartment, but the air inside was ice-cold. D’Nisha sat on her plush velvet sofa, meticulously organizing financial spreadsheets on her laptop, sipping a iced green tea. Everything in her life was ordered, calculated, and under control—especially her relationship with Anthony.

Then Tamara pushed through the front door, looking like she’d just witnessed a highway collision.

Tamara didn't even take off her heels. She marched straight across the hardwood floor, set her designer bag on the glass coffee table with a loud clack, and leaned over D’Nisha’s laptop screen.

"Close the computer, D," Tamara said, her voice dropping into a dangerous, low frequency. "You need to hear this right now."

D’Nisha didn't flinch. She slowly tapped the save shortcut, folded the laptop down half an inch, and looked up at her best friend with a cool, measured gaze. "Tamara, if this is about the seating chart for the gala—"

"It’s about Anthony. And Shayla," Tamara cut in, her eyes wide, practically vibrating with nervous energy. "I was at the coffee shop on 4th—the one with the high booths in the back. Anthony was in the corner booth with his boys, Marco and Trey. He didn't see me sit behind them."

D’Nisha’s expression remained unreadable, but her hand tightened around her glass. "And?"

"And Marco asked him about Shayla. He asked him if he was really over her, or if he was just using you to clean up his life and get his credit score right." Tamara took a deep breath, cringing slightly before delivering the blow. "Anthony laughed, D. He told them, 'Shayla’s the one that got away. D’Nisha’s the business partner, but Shayla... Shayla’s the heart. Once I get my money right, who knows?'"

The silence that fell over the living room was deafening.

Tamara braced herself. She expected screaming. She expected thrown glasses, tears, maybe a rage-filled phone call demanding Anthony come over immediately. She had her phone ready to record the inevitable drama, waiting for the explosive breakdown everyone knew D’Nisha was capable of when crossed.

Instead, D’Nisha’s reaction was utterly unbelievable.

She didn't burst into tears. She didn't shout. Her face didn't even flush with red.

D’Nisha simply leaned back against the velvet cushions, set her iced tea down on a coaster with mathematical precision, and slowly opened her laptop back up. A small, cold, razor-thin smile spread across her lips—the kind of smile an auditor gives when they find a million-dollar fraud case.

"The heart," D’Nisha repeated softly, her voice smooth as velvet and cold as steel.

"D? Are you okay?" Tamara whispered, genuinely unnerved by the lack of screaming. "You're not mad?"

"Mad is an emotion for people who didn't write the contract, Tamara," D’Nisha said, her fingers already flying across her keyboard with terrifying speed.

"What are you doing?"

"Well," D’Nisha said, her eyes reflecting the blue light of the screen as she pulled up Anthony’s primary financial portfolio. "Anthony thinks I’m his business partner. But he forgot who owns the business."

She didn't block his number. She didn't call him to argue. Instead, D’Nisha executed a quiet, surgical strike:

  • The Joint High-Yield Account: She instantly transferred her 80% stake out of their joint house-savings fund back into her private account, leaving his modest 20% contribution sitting alone.

  • The Auto-Pay Authorizations: She revoked her secondary guarantee on his brand-new auto loan, triggering an immediate notification from the bank that his interest rate would double without her co-signature.

  • The Investment Strategy: She revoked his access to her private financial advisor dashboard, lock, stock, and barrel.

Within four minutes, D’Nisha had completely disentangled her wealth from his future, reverting Anthony’s financial standing right back to where it was the day she met him—stuck on the edge of a cliff without a safety net.

She closed the laptop with a quiet, satisfying snap.

Tamara stood there, mouth slightly agape, staring at her friend in absolute awe. "You're not even going to confront him?"

"Oh, I'll confront him," D’Nisha said softly, standing up and smoothing down her silk blouse. She picked up her keys and her purse, looking at her reflection in the hallway mirror. "He’s picking me up for dinner in twenty minutes. He thinks he's taking his 'business partner' out to celebrate his new promotion."

She turned to Tamara, her eyes sharp, clear, and completely devoid of heartbreak.

"I’m going to order the most expensive steak on the menu," D’Nisha said with a calm, dangerous grin. "And when the bill comes... I’m going to let his 'heart' pay for it
