10 . OMG 🚨 Shayla Told Anthony Something Dinesha Never Wanted Him to Know… His Reaction Changed EVERYTHING! 😱

The air inside the cramped studio apartment was thick with tension, heavy enough to drown out the hum of the city traffic three floors below. Anthony sat on the edge of the worn velvet sofa, his head resting in his hands. Opposite him stood Shayla, her arms crossed tight against her chest, her jaw set with a quiet, lethal certainty.

"She’s been lying to you, Anthony," Shayla said, her voice barely above a whisper, yet slicing through the silence like a blade. "Every single day for the past two years."

Anthony looked up, his eyes bloodshot, searching Shayla’s face for any sign of a cruel joke. "What are you talking about, Shayla? Dinesha and I—we're building a life together. She’s sacrificed everything for us."

"That’s what she wanted you to believe," Shayla replied, pulling a black leather-bound notebook from her tote bag. She tossed it onto the glass coffee table between them. It landed with a loud, hollow thud. "You think she stayed working those late night shifts at the clinic to help pay off your mother’s medical bills? You think that money came from overtime?"

Anthony hesitated. Dinesha had been his rock. When his mother’s healthcare costs spiraled out of control and his own startup went under, Dinesha had stepped up without a second thought, working double shifts and coming home exhausted, her fingers bruised and eyes weary. He owed her everything.

"Open it," Shayla insisted softly.

With trembling hands, Anthony reached out and flipped open the notebook. Inside weren't patient logs or overtime schedules. They were meticulous ledger entries, bank receipts, and legal documents bearing a name he hadn't heard in five years: Vance Holdings.

The truth hit him in waves, each detail worse than the last. Dinesha wasn't working late at the clinic. She had made a deal with his estranged, wealthy father—the man who had abandoned Anthony and his mother decades ago. Dinesha had agreed to secretly funnel his father's money into Anthony’s account under the guise of her own hard-earned income, ensuring Anthony would never have to crawl back to his father for help. But the real sting was on the final page: a signed contract relinquishing Anthony's rights to his own original software patent in exchange for the full payoff of the hospital debt.

Dinesha hadn't just taken his father's money; she had traded Anthony's life's work to save his mother, intentionally keeping him in the dark so he would never feel the pride-shattering guilt of making the deal himself.

"She knew you'd rather go bankrupt than take a dime from your dad or lose your patent," Shayla said, stepping closer. "She protected your pride, Anthony, but she traded away your future to do it. And she made sure you'd love her forever for a sacrifice she never actually made."

The front door clicked open.

Dinesha walked in, carrying a bag of takeout, a tired smile forming on her face. "Hey babe, I got the—"

She froze. Her eyes darted from Anthony's pale face to the black notebook resting open on the table, and finally to Shayla standing in the shadow of the kitchen doorway. The color drained completely from Dinesha's face. The paper bag slipped from her grip, spilling containers across the hardwood floor.

"Anthony..." Dinesha’s voice cracked. "I... I can explain."

"Is it true?" Anthony asked. His voice wasn't filled with the explosive rage Dinesha had spent years fearing. It was eerily quiet, hollowed out by absolute disbelief. "Did you give him my patent?"

"He was going to take the house, Anthony!" Dinesha took a desperate step forward, tears spilling over her cheeks. "Your mom was going to lose her care! I couldn't let you drown, and I knew your pride would kill you before you asked him for help! I took the burden so you wouldn't have to!"

"You didn't take the burden, Dinesha," Anthony said, standing up slowly. His reaction sent a chill through the room—there were no screams, no thrown objects, just a terrifying, distant coldness. "You decided I wasn't strong enough to handle my own life. You built our entire relationship on a illusion."

"Anthony, please!" Dinesha pleaded, reaching for his arm.

He stepped back, dodging her touch as if it burned. He picked up his jacket, walked past her without meeting her eyes, and pulled open the door.

"Where are you going?" she sobbed.

Anthony stopped at the threshold, looking back at the apartment that no longer felt like home. "To my father's," he said quietly. "And when I come back, I expect you to be gone."

He shut the door behind him, leaving Dinesha broken on the floor, while Shayla watched in silence—knowing that the truth had finally set them all on a path from which there was no returning
