😱 When Sharra Finds a Pregnancy Kit in Brooke’s Room 💔

😱 When Sharra Finds a Pregnancy Kit in Brooke’s Room 💔

The house was quiet that afternoon.

Too quiet.

Sharra stood in the hallway holding a basket of freshly folded laundry against her hip while Brooke was supposedly at Destiny’s house “studying.” But something about Brooke’s behavior lately had been bothering her nonstop.

The late-night crying.

The sickness every morning.

The sudden mood swings.

The way Brooke barely touched her food anymore.

And worst of all…

The secrets.

Sharra slowly walked toward Brooke’s bedroom.

“I’m just putting her clothes away,” she muttered to herself.

But deep down, she knew she was looking for answers.

Brooke’s room was messier than usual.

Shoes scattered near the closet.

Makeup left open on the dresser.

A hoodie thrown across the bed.

Sharra sighed while placing the laundry basket down.

“This girl…”

She started folding a few shirts absentmindedly before walking toward Brooke’s bathroom to put away towels.

That’s when she noticed it.

The cabinet door under the sink wasn’t fully closed.

Sharra bent down casually to shut it—

Then froze.

A small pink box sat partially hidden behind some hair products.

Her heart instantly dropped.

Slowly… very slowly… she reached for it.

The moment she read the words on the box, her entire body went cold.

PREGNANCY TEST.

Sharra stared at it in disbelief.

“No…”

Her voice barely came out.

She flipped the box over with trembling hands.

One test missing.

Her breathing suddenly became heavier.

“No no no no…”

Her mind started racing instantly.

Brooke being sick.

Brooke throwing up.

Brooke crying alone.

The exhaustion.

The lies.

Suddenly everything made sense.

And the realization hit Sharra like a truck.

At that exact moment, the front door downstairs opened.

Brooke was home.

“Mom?” Brooke called casually. “You here?”

Sharra stood frozen in the bathroom holding the pregnancy test box tightly in her hands.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly with anger and panic.

Brooke walked upstairs humming softly—

Then stopped instantly when she saw her bedroom door open.

Her stomach dropped.

“Mom?”

Sharra slowly stepped out of the bathroom.

Holding the box.

Brooke’s face lost all color immediately.

The entire world around her seemed to stop moving.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then finally Sharra lifted the box slightly.

“What…”

Her voice trembled with anger.

“…is this?”

Brooke couldn’t breathe.

“Mom, I can explain—”

“EXPLAIN WHAT?!”

The scream echoed through the hallway.

Brooke flinched immediately.

Tears filled her eyes before she even said another word.

Sharra walked closer.

“Tell me this isn’t yours.”

Brooke looked down silently.

And that silence answered everything.

“Oh my God…”

Sharra staggered backward in disbelief.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

Brooke started crying instantly.

“It’s not what you think!”

“Then WHAT is it, Brooke?!”

Brooke wiped tears from her face desperately.

“I was just checking!”

“Checking WHAT?!”

Brooke’s voice cracked.

“If I was pregnant…”

The words hung in the air like a bomb exploding.

Sharra stared at her daughter in complete shock.

“You think you’re pregnant?”

Brooke immediately covered her face crying.

Sharra’s breathing became uneven.

“No.”

She shook her head repeatedly.

“No no no…”

Brooke tried stepping closer.

“Mom—”

“DON’T.”

Sharra pointed at her furiously.

“Please don’t yell…”

“YELL?!” Sharra exploded. “You’re in here taking pregnancy tests and you’re worried about yelling?!”

Brooke cried harder.

“I didn’t mean for this to happen!”

“But it DID happen!”

The tension inside the room became unbearable.

Sharra paced back and forth trying to process what she’d just discovered.

Her little girl.

Pregnant?

It didn’t feel real.

Finally, Sharra stopped pacing.

Her eyes narrowed.

“Who is he?”

Brooke froze instantly.

The silence said everything.

Sharra’s expression darkened.

“Isaiah.”

Brooke looked away.

And that confirmed it.

Sharra laughed bitterly in disbelief.

“I knew it.”

“It’s not all his fault!”

“Oh, so now you’re defending him?”

Brooke’s tears fell nonstop.

“We love each other!”

“Love?” Sharra snapped. “Love doesn’t pay bills. Love doesn’t raise babies. Love doesn’t fix ruined futures!”

Brooke looked shattered.

“You think my life is ruined?”

Sharra paused.

For a brief second, guilt flashed across her face.

But her anger quickly returned.

“You are too young for this!”

“I know!”

“No, Brooke, you clearly DON’T know!”

Brooke sank onto the edge of the bed crying uncontrollably.

Meanwhile Sharra stood there gripping the pregnancy test box so tightly it nearly bent in half.

Then suddenly—

Sharra noticed something else sitting near the trash can beside the desk.

A used pregnancy test.

Her stomach dropped instantly.

Slowly, she walked toward it.

Brooke’s eyes widened.

“Mom, don’t—”

Too late.

Sharra picked it up carefully.

And saw the result.

Positive.

Two lines.

Clear as day.

The room went completely silent.

Brooke started sobbing harder.

Sharra stared at the test like it might magically change if she looked long enough.

But it didn’t.

Positive.

Real.

Permanent.

Her daughter was pregnant.

“Oh my God…” Sharra whispered again, but this time her voice sounded broken instead of angry.

Brooke cried into her hands.

“I’m sorry…”

Sharra slowly sat down in the chair across from her.

For the first time since finding the box…

The anger faded slightly.

And fear replaced it.

Real fear.

Because suddenly this wasn’t about sneaking around or breaking rules anymore.

This was real life.

A baby.

A future completely changed overnight.

Brooke looked up through tears.

“I was scared to tell you.”

Sharra rubbed her forehead slowly.

“How long did you know?”

“A few days.”

“And you were just gonna hide it?”

“I didn’t know what to do!”

Sharra closed her eyes.

Neither of them spoke for a long moment.

The silence between them felt heavy and painful.

Finally, Sharra whispered something Brooke never expected to hear.

“Are you okay?”

Brooke blinked in surprise.

“What?”

“I asked if you’re okay.”

Brooke immediately burst into tears again.

Because beneath all the yelling…

All the disappointment…

All the anger…

That was still her mother.

And despite everything…

Sharra’s biggest fear wasn’t embarrassment.

It wasn’t gossip.

It wasn’t even Isaiah.

It was seeing her daughter scared, lost, and completely overwhelmed.

Brooke nodded weakly.

“I don’t know…”

Sharra looked down at the positive test in her hand again.

Neither of them were prepared for what came next.

But one thing was certain now:

Their lives would never be the same again
