WHEN DOMINI AND SUNNY GET INTO IT

The tension between Domini and Sunny had been building for weeks, but nobody expected it to explode the way it did that night.

It started at a crowded rooftop party in downtown Vegas. Music blasted through the speakers while neon lights painted everyone in shades of blue and purple. People laughed, danced, and acted like nothing in the world could touch them. But across the rooftop, Domini stood near the railing with her arms crossed tightly against her chest, staring directly at Sunny.

Sunny noticed immediately.

“Why does she keep looking at me like that?” Sunny muttered to her friend, setting her drink down.

Because deep down, Sunny already knew.

Earlier that week, rumors spread that Sunny had been talking behind Domini’s back—telling people Domini was fake, dramatic, and only stayed around certain people for attention. At first Domini ignored it, hoping it was just gossip. But then screenshots surfaced. Voice notes too.

And every single one pointed back to Sunny.

Domini had stayed silent for days, trying not to lose control. But seeing Sunny laughing at the party like nothing happened pushed her over the edge.

Without warning, Domini walked across the rooftop.

People slowly moved aside as they noticed the look on her face.

Sunny straightened up. “You got something to say?”

Domini stopped inches away from her.

“Yeah,” she snapped. “I wanna know why you keep running your mouth about me.”

The music suddenly didn’t matter anymore. Conversations died down around them. Everyone started watching.

Sunny folded her arms. “If the truth hurts, that ain’t my problem.”

Domini’s jaw tightened instantly.

“The truth?” she repeated. “You call lying the truth now?”

Sunny laughed coldly. “Girl please. Everybody sees how you act. You want every guy’s attention in the room and then cry when people notice.”

A loud “ooooh” broke out from the crowd.

Domini looked stunned for half a second before anger completely took over.

“You’re jealous,” Domini shot back. “That’s what this really is. Ever since people started noticing me, you’ve been bitter.”

Sunny stepped closer. “Jealous of YOU? Don’t flatter yourself.”

Their friends immediately started moving toward them, sensing disaster coming.

“Yo chill—both of y’all chill,” someone said nervously.

But neither listened.

Sunny pointed a finger directly into Domini’s face. “You fake every friendship you got. Everybody knows it.”

Domini slapped her hand away instantly.

“Don’t put your hands in my face.”

“Or what?”

The silence afterward felt dangerous.

Domini’s eyes watered—not from sadness, but pure rage. “I defended you when everybody else called you messy. I stood by you. And this is how you repay me?”

Sunny hesitated for the first time.

For a split second, guilt flashed across her face. Because deep down, she remembered all the times Domini had actually protected her. Back when Sunny got exposed online. Back when everybody turned on her. Domini was the only one who stayed.

But pride is a dangerous thing.

Sunny swallowed that guilt and shrugged coldly. “Nobody told you to.”

That sentence broke whatever patience Domini had left.

“You know what?” Domini yelled. “You’re the most selfish person I’ve ever met!”

“And you’re the most dramatic!”

Their voices echoed across the rooftop as people pulled out phones to record.

Sunny turned like she was about to walk away, but Domini said one final thing that stopped her cold.

“That’s why nobody trusts you.”

Sunny slowly turned back around.

The look in her eyes changed completely.

“What did you say?”

Domini realized instantly she hit a nerve—but it was too late now.

Sunny walked forward again, slower this time. “Say it again.”

The rooftop had gone dead silent except for the bass thumping through the floor.

Domini lifted her chin stubbornly. “I said nobody trusts you.”

Sunny’s eyes filled with anger and hurt at the same time.

Because that was the one insecurity she carried everywhere.

People always left.
People always doubted her.
And hearing it from Domini hurt more than she wanted to admit.

Before anyone could react, the two started shouting over each other again, years of buried resentment pouring out in seconds.

“You think you’re perfect!”

“You stab everybody in the back!”

“You always need attention!”

“At least I’m honest!”

Friends rushed between them before things turned physical.

“STOP!” one of them screamed.

Sunny shoved past everyone, grabbing her purse. “I’m done with this fake friendship.”

Domini laughed bitterly, though tears were forming in her eyes now. “Friendship? You ended that a long time ago.”

Sunny paused near the exit stairs.

For one second it looked like she might say something real… maybe even apologize.

But instead she shook her head.

“You’ll always make yourself the victim, Domini.”

And then she walked away.

The rooftop stayed awkwardly quiet after Sunny disappeared downstairs.

Everyone looked at Domini, expecting her to scream or chase after her.

But instead, she just stood there staring at the empty doorway.

Completely still.

Because underneath all the anger was heartbreak.

Sunny wasn’t just another enemy.

She had been her best friend once.

And somehow, those are always the fights that hurt the most
