5 . Delicia Caught Iman Giving Shayla Money! 😱💰 What Happened Next Left Her Completely SHOCKED

The rain hammered relentlessly against the floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse, mirroring the storm brewing inside Delicia’s chest. She stood frozen in the dimly lit hallway, her fingers tightening around the doorframe until her knuckles turned white.

Through the crack of the study door, she couldn't believe her eyes.

There stood Iman, her husband of five years—a man who claimed they were facing a critical financial tight spot—handing a thick stack of hundred-dollar bills to Shayla. Shayla, Delicia’s younger sister, took the money with a tearful nod, slipping it into her bag before hugging Iman tightly. Delicia’s mind raced with betrayal. Why was her husband secretly funding her sister behind her back? Was it an affair? A blackmailed secret?

Unable to contain the surge of fury, Delicia slammed the door open.

"What is going on here?!" she demanded, her voice shaking with rage.

Shayla gasped, jumping backward, while Iman’s face went entirely pale.

"Delicia, wait—it’s not what you think," Iman stammered, holding his hands up.

"Not what I think?" Delicia cried, pointing at Shayla’s bag. "You tell me we need to cut back, yet you’re secretly handing thousands of dollars to my sister in the middle of the night! How long has this been going on?"

Shayla looked at Iman with panicked eyes, pleading softly, "Iman, please... don't."

"No, Shayla! Enough secrets!" Delicia snapped. "If you don't explain this right now, both of you can pack your things and get out!"

A heavy silence descended upon the room. Iman let out a long, exhausted sigh and rubbed his temples. He looked at Shayla, who lowered her head and began to cry silently.

"Delicia... sit down," Iman said quietly.

"I am not sitting down until I get an answer!"

Iman walked over to his desk, unlocked the bottom drawer, and pulled out a thick blue folder, handing it to her. Delicia snatched it from his hands, her vision blurred with anger, and flipped it open. Expecting to see incriminating messages or secret bank accounts, her heart stopped as her eyes scanned the top page.

It was a medical file. Shayla’s medical file.

Stamped across the top in bold red letters were the words: Stage 3 Lymphoma - Immediate Intervention Required.

Delicia’s breath caught in her throat. The room seemed to tilt beneath her feet. She looked up at her sister, whose face was buried in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably.

"What... what is this?" Delicia whispered, the anger draining out of her instantly, replaced by a cold, suffocating dread.

"Shayla was diagnosed six weeks ago," Iman explained softly, placing a steady hand on Delicia’s trembling shoulder. "The treatment costs are astronomical, and her insurance denied the initial claim. She was terrified, Delicia. She didn't want to break your heart or make you worry while you were already overwhelmed with work."

"She came to me begging for help," Iman continued, his voice thick with emotion. "Not because we're keeping secrets from you, but because she couldn't bring herself to face you until she had a clear treatment plan. That money... it wasn't a bribe or a secret gift. It was the down payment for her aggressive chemotherapy starting on Monday."

Delicia stood frozen in complete shock. The dark narrative of betrayal she had constructed in her mind shattered into a million pieces, revealing a far heavier reality. Her sister wasn't betraying her—she was fighting for her life. And the husband she had just accused was quietly trying to save it.

Tears spilled over Delicia’s cheeks as she dropped the folder and rushed across the room, pulling Shayla into a tight, fierce embrace.

"You stupid girl," Delicia sobbed into her sister's hair. "You never carry something like this alone. Never."

Shayla hugged her back tightly, weeping with relief. "I'm so sorry, Delicia. I was just so scared."

Delicia held her sister close, then looked over Shayla’s shoulder at Iman, who offered a soft, reassuring smile. The shock of the evening had completely unraveled her, but as the three of them stood together in the quiet room, the truth had brought them closer than ever. They were going to fight this battle—together
