Destiny tell larry she don't want to go to miami anymore infront of bethany

The room was quiet, but the silence felt heavy. The soft hum of the air vent was the only sound in the small bedroom. Larry stood near the open door with his arms slightly crossed, looking serious. Beside him stood Bethany and Destiny. Across the room, a woman sat calmly on the bed, watching the situation unfold.

Destiny shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Her fingers nervously twisted together as if she were trying to gather the courage to say something important. Bethany stood beside her with a confident posture, arms folded, her expression impatient. She had been talking about Miami all week—about the beaches, the nightlife, the trip they were supposed to take. To her, everything about Miami sounded exciting.

But for Destiny, things had changed.

Larry had originally planned the trip thinking it would be good for everyone. A break from the stress. A chance to clear their heads. But lately he had sensed something was wrong with Destiny. She had been quieter than usual, distant, almost like she was holding something back.

Finally, Destiny took a deep breath.

“Larry… I need to tell you something,” she said softly.

Larry turned his head toward her, giving her his full attention.

“What is it?” he asked calmly.

Destiny hesitated. Bethany glanced at her with raised eyebrows, clearly expecting her to talk about packing or travel plans.

But Destiny’s next words changed everything.

“I… I don’t want to go to Miami anymore.”

The sentence hung in the air like a sudden storm cloud.

Bethany’s eyes widened instantly.

“What?” she said sharply.

Larry blinked slowly, surprised but not angry.

“You don’t want to go?” he asked, trying to understand.

Destiny shook her head slowly.

“No… I’ve been thinking about it for days. I just don’t feel right about it anymore.”

Bethany stepped forward slightly, her voice rising.

“Destiny, are you serious right now? We’ve already planned everything! The flights, the hotel, everything!”

Destiny looked at Bethany apologetically but stayed firm.

“I know… but I can’t force myself to go somewhere when my heart isn’t in it.”

Larry leaned against the wall thoughtfully, watching the two girls. He could see the tension building.

Bethany threw her hands in the air.

“This is unbelievable! You were excited about Miami last week!”

Destiny sighed.

“That was before… things started feeling different.”

Larry raised an eyebrow.

“Different how?” he asked gently.

Destiny looked down at the floor for a moment before speaking again.

“I just feel like this trip is going to cause more problems than happiness.”

Bethany scoffed.

“That makes no sense.”

But Destiny continued.

“I think we all need space instead of forcing a trip together.”

The words hit harder than Bethany expected.

Larry rubbed his chin slowly, thinking deeply.

Bethany shook her head in disbelief.

“So you’re just quitting? Just like that?”

Destiny looked at her seriously.

“I’m not quitting. I’m choosing what’s best for me.”

The tension in the room grew thicker.

Larry finally pushed himself away from the wall and stepped closer to Destiny.

“Tell me the real reason,” he said quietly.

Destiny looked up at him.

“The real reason is… I don’t want things to get worse between everyone. Miami feels like pressure. Like we’re pretending everything is fine when it isn’t.”

Bethany crossed her arms tightly.

“Oh please. That’s just an excuse.”

But Larry raised his hand slightly to calm her.

“Let her talk.”

Destiny continued slowly.

“I think if we go to Miami right now, something bad is going to happen. Arguments, drama… maybe even things we can’t fix.”

Larry watched her carefully. He could see the sincerity in her eyes.

Bethany looked frustrated.

“So what? We cancel the whole trip because you’re nervous?”

Destiny shook her head.

“I’m not asking anyone else to cancel. I’m just saying… I’m not going.”

Larry sighed deeply.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

The air felt thick with emotions—frustration from Bethany, nervous courage from Destiny, and quiet thoughtfulness from Larry.

Finally, Larry nodded slowly.

“If that’s how you truly feel… then I’m not going to force you.”

Bethany turned toward him quickly.

“Wait, what? You’re just accepting that?”

Larry looked at her calmly.

“People shouldn’t travel somewhere if they feel uncomfortable.”

Bethany’s frustration grew.

“So the whole plan just falls apart?”

Larry shrugged slightly.

“Plans change.”

Destiny looked relieved but also a little guilty.

“I’m sorry,” she said quietly.

Larry shook his head.

“Don’t apologize for being honest.”

Bethany paced the room a little, clearly upset.

“I cannot believe this,” she muttered.

Destiny looked at her.

“I know you’re angry… but I had to say it.”

Bethany stopped pacing and stared at her.

“You could have said it earlier.”

Destiny nodded.

“I know.”

The room fell silent again.

Outside the window, the evening sky was turning orange as the sun slowly began to set.

Larry looked around the room and sighed softly.

“Well,” he said, “looks like Miami just got a little less certain.”

Bethany shook her head and walked toward the door, clearly frustrated.

Destiny stayed where she was, feeling the weight of what had just happened—but also feeling a strange sense of relief.

For the first time in days, she felt like she had finally spoken the truth.

And sometimes… the truth changes everything
