💥 Sharra’s Final Warning: Bethany Has One Chance Left — or She’s OUT!

FULL STORY — What Happens

The storm had already started when Sharra slammed the door behind her. Thunder rolled through the cracked windows of the old training hall as she stepped toward Bethany, each heel-click echoing like a countdown.

Bethany didn’t flinch. She stood in the center of the room, hands shaking but chin high, her eyes fixed on the woman who’d once been her mentor… and who now held her future like a knife to her throat.

“You failed the mission, Beth.”
Sharra’s voice was low, tight. “Twice.”

Bethany swallowed hard. Images flashed in her mind — the wasted chase, the ambush she should’ve seen coming, the artifact slipping from her fingers into the river’s black current. She had excuses. She had reasons. But none mattered here.

“I can fix it,” Bethany whispered.

“You said that last time.” Sharra leaned in. “One. Last. Chance. Bring back the Ember Key before sunrise… or don’t come back at all.”

And then Sharra dropped the real bomb:

“The Hunters know you’re coming.”

Bethany’s blood chilled.

“The Hunters?” She stepped back. “They were wiped out years ago.”

Sharra’s eyes hardened. “Someone revived them. And they want the Ember Key even more than we do. If they reach it first…”
A pause. A heavy silence.
“…they won’t just kill you. They’ll use it.”

Bethany felt the room tilt around her.

The Ember Key wasn’t just a relic — it was a trigger. A weapon. A way to wake the sleeping fire beneath the world.

“Why me?” Bethany asked, voice cracking. “Why send me alone?”

Sharra’s jaw tightened. “Because the traitor is inside this organization. I can’t trust anyone else.”

Bethany stared.
A traitor. Inside the Order.
Someone who had fed the Hunters information.

Someone who knew Bethany’s every weakness.

Lightning flashed.

“Go,” Sharra commanded. “There’s a motorcycle waiting outside. You’ll have only five hours.”

Bethany turned toward the door — but stopped.

“Sharra,” she said quietly. “If I don’t come back…”

Sharra looked away.
“Don’t die, Bethany. I’ve lost too many already.”

The Chase Begins

Rain hammered Bethany’s face as she tore down the mountain road. Her mind raced faster than the engine.

The traitor. The Hunters. The Ember Key.

Who could have revived the Hunters? Why now?

And why was she the only one who could reach the Key before sunrise?

As she sped toward the abandoned Solstice Ruins — where rumors said the Key’s chamber had awakened — she caught movement in her side mirror.

A pair of headlights.
Getting closer.

Bethany’s heart pounded.

Then the radio on her dash crackled.

A distorted voice whispered:

“Third strike, Bethany.”

Her blood turned to ice.

They were already here.

The Hunters.

The traitor.

And they were coming for her.

She hit the throttle.

The final race had begun.
