Shayla gets that mysterious call — and learns a secret about Amber’s pregnancy

📞 “The Call That Changed Everything: Shayla Learns the Truth About Amber’s Pregnancy” 😱

A Drama-Filled Long Story

Shayla was sprawled across her couch, scrolling, hating, and over-obsessing like she did most nights. The apartment was a mess — pizza box on the table, laundry in a pile on the chair. She hadn’t been eating right, sleeping right, or even thinking straight ever since Anthony had walked out.

And ever since Amber came back into his life.

Shayla gripped her phone tighter.
“I know something is going on,” she whispered to herself. “I feel it.”

Just as she was replaying every moment she’d stalked Anthony’s likes on Instagram, her ringtone shattered the silence — a familiar number she didn't expect to ever see again.

Private Caller ID.

Shayla’s heart jumped.
“No way…”

She answered.
“Hello?”

A voice she hadn’t heard in so long — slick, smug, and soaked in drama — slid through the speaker.

Brooke.

Amber’s cousin.

And Shayla’s least favorite person on the planet.

“You might wanna sit down,” Brooke said casually, like she was announcing a weather update.
“Why? What now?” Shayla snapped, instantly irritated.

Brooke paused for dramatic effect, and Shayla could practically hear her smirk.

“Amber’s pregnant.”

Silence.

Shayla felt her heartbeat in her throat.
“…what did you just say?”

Brooke continued, slow, evil, enjoying every second:

“Yep. And Anthony knows. They’re keeping it quiet — but word travels.”

Shayla’s fingers trembled. Her mind spiraled — flashes of Anthony laughing with Amber, holding her stomach, planning a life… the life Shayla thought was hers.

“You’re lying,” Shayla whispered, voice shaking.

“Baby, I don’t lie about this kind of tea. And before you ask — yes, it’s his. She told him last week.”

Shayla felt like the room was closing in.
This couldn’t be happening. Amber? Pregnant? And Anthony knew?

Before she could respond, Brooke added one more dagger:

“Oh—and don’t think you’re getting near Anthony again. That chapter’s closed.”

Click.

Call ended.

Shayla stared at her screen, breathing hard.
Her world crumbled. Then… something darker sparked.

Her grief snapped into rage.

“Oh… chapter closed?” she muttered, rising to her feet. “We’ll see about that.”

She grabbed her keys, hair a mess, no plan, no sanity — just fury.

Ten minutes later — she was pounding on Anthony’s door.

“ANTHONY! OPEN THE DOOR!”
Her voice echoed through the night.

A light flicked on inside. Footsteps. The door opened just a crack.

Anthony.

Shirt off, tired eyes, confused.

“Shayla? What are you doing here?”

Tears filled her eyes — but not the soft kind.
The kind that come right before a storm.

“You got Amber PREGNANT?! And you didn’t think to tell ME?! AFTER EVERYTHING?!”

Anthony froze.
“How— who told you?”

Shayla laughed — a sharp, unhinged sound.

“So it’s TRUE?”

Anthony didn’t answer. That was answer enough.

Shayla’s face twisted.
“You moved on. THAT fast? You threw me away like trash— and now you’re starting a FAMILY with HER?!”

Anthony rubbed his face.
“Shayla, you need to go home. This isn’t healthy.”

“Oh I’m not going ANYWHERE,” she hissed, stepping forward.

Just then, a soft voice floated from inside the house…

“Anthony? Who is it?”

Amber.

Shayla’s knees wobbled. Seeing Amber’s silhouette behind him was the final blow.

Amber appeared beside him, her hand resting protectively on her stomach.

Shayla stared.
That tiny gesture shattered her.

Amber whispered, “Shayla… please. This isn’t the time.”

Shayla’s voice cracked, desperation finally spilling through the rage.

“It should’ve been me.”

Silence.

Even Anthony swallowed hard, guilt flickering in his eyes.

Shayla wiped her face, hands trembling uncontrollably.

“You chose her… and now a baby too? Fine.”
She forced a bitter smile.
“But just know — karma isn’t done with any of you.”

She turned, walking away shaky but determined — a woman spiraling, plotting, unraveling.

Amber leaned into Anthony, whispering, “We need to protect our peace. She’s not stable.”

Anthony exhaled, watching Shayla disappear into the night.

“You’re right,” he murmured.

But deep down…

He knew this wasn’t over.

Shayla wasn’t walking away quietly.

And whatever she did next?

Would change ALL their lives.
