Shayla Finds Out About Amber’s Pregnancy — and Shows Up at Anthony’s House Uninvited! 💔
[Scene: Anthony’s house. It’s late evening. There’s a knock on the door — urgent, loud. Anthony opens it, surprised.]
Anthony: Shayla? What are you doing here? It’s— it’s almost 10 o’clock.
Shayla: Don’t “what are you doing here” me, Anthony. I think you know exactly why I’m here.
Anthony: (sighs) Look, can we not do this right now? It’s been a long day—
Shayla: Oh, I’m sure it has. Between pretending everything’s fine and keeping secrets, I bet you’re exhausted.
Anthony: (rubs his forehead) Shayla, please. I don’t want to argue.
Shayla: You don’t want to argue? You didn’t seem to mind arguing when you were lying to my face!
(steps inside)
Where is she?
Anthony: Shayla— no. Don’t do this.
Shayla: Don’t do what, huh? Confront the two people who made me look like a fool? I deserve some answers.
(Footsteps are heard from the hallway. Amber appears, hesitating at the corner.)
Amber: Shayla… hey.
Shayla: (lets out a bitter laugh) Oh, hey? That’s all you’ve got? “Hey”? You’ve been hiding from me for weeks, Amber.
Amber: I wasn’t hiding. I just— I didn’t know how to tell you.
Shayla: You didn’t know how to tell me that you’re pregnant… with his baby?
Anthony: Shayla, please. Lower your voice. It’s not what you think—
Shayla: Oh, it’s exactly what I think! Don’t insult my intelligence, Anthony. I heard it from someone else— someone who actually had the guts to tell me the truth.
Amber: (softly) I didn’t mean for it to happen. I swear. We didn’t plan any of this.
Shayla: (angrily) You didn’t mean for it to happen? You knew we were still trying to figure things out, and you— (voice cracks) you go behind my back with him?
Amber: I’m sorry, Shayla. I never wanted to hurt you.
Shayla: (teary) But you did. Both of you did. Do you have any idea what it feels like to find out like that? To hear it from someone else, to realize everyone probably knew before I did?
Anthony: Shayla, you were the last person I wanted to hurt. But I didn’t know how to tell you. Amber didn’t either. It all happened so fast, and when we found out she was pregnant, I— I panicked.
Shayla: (glaring at him) You panicked? You made a baby, Anthony. That’s not a panic mistake. That’s a decision you made— whether you admit it or not.
(Silence fills the room. Amber’s eyes well up with tears.)
Amber: I didn’t expect it to happen. But now it’s real. I’m scared, too.
Shayla: (coldly) You should be. Because everything— every bit of trust, every piece of friendship, it’s gone.
(pauses, turns to Anthony)
And you— you couldn’t even look me in the eye and tell me yourself. After everything we’ve been through.
Anthony: I was trying to protect you.
Shayla: (snaps) Protect me from what? The truth? You don’t get to decide that, Anthony. You don’t get to break my heart and then claim you’re doing me a favor.
Amber: Shayla, please. Don’t hate me.
Shayla: I don’t hate you, Amber. I just can’t even look at you right now. You were like a sister to me.
(her voice cracks)
And now, every time I think about what you did, all I can see is betrayal.
(She starts heading for the door. Anthony steps toward her.)
Anthony: Shayla, wait. Please don’t go like this. We can talk—
Shayla: There’s nothing left to talk about. You made your choice. And now you’ll have to live with it.
(She opens the door, then looks back one last time.)
Shayla: Congratulations, you two. I hope it was worth it.
(She leaves, slamming the door behind her. The room falls silent. Amber sinks onto the couch, crying quietly. Anthony just stands there, staring at the closed door, speechless.)
[Scene: The door slams. Shayla’s car engine roars outside. Inside, Anthony stands frozen. Amber’s breathing is shaky, her eyes red.]
Amber: (whispering) She knows everything now… it’s over, isn’t it?
Anthony: (quietly) No. Not everything.
Amber: (looks up sharply) What do you mean?
Anthony: (turns away, jaw tight) I mean there are things she still doesn’t know. And if she ever finds out—
(pauses)
—everything falls apart. For all of us.
Amber: (nervously) Anthony, you’re scaring me. What are you talking about?
Anthony: (lowers his voice) You said you didn’t tell anyone, right? About that night?
Amber: (hesitates) No… no, I didn’t. But— someone must’ve seen us. Someone told Shayla.
Anthony: (grim) Yeah. But that’s not what I’m worried about.
(he paces)
If she keeps digging, she’s going to find out about the money. And about the call I made.
Amber: (staring) The call? You said you handled that weeks ago.
Anthony: I thought I did. But the guy— he keeps texting me. He says he still has the footage.
Amber: (panicked) Footage?! Anthony, what footage?
Anthony: (turns toward her) The security feed from the cabin. From that weekend.
(he runs a hand through his hair)
He says he’ll send it to Shayla if I don’t pay him by Friday.
Amber: (voice trembling) Oh my God. You said the cameras weren’t working!
Anthony: I thought they weren’t! But now this guy— he’s got everything. The fight, the storm, the blood on the floor— everything.
Amber: (grabs his arm) Anthony… what if Shayla already saw it?
Anthony: (pauses, listening— faint sound outside, like footsteps on gravel)
Wait… did you hear that?
(They both freeze. The house is quiet, except for the ticking clock. Then— a faint creak at the front door.)
Amber: (whispers) Maybe it’s just the wind…
Anthony: (moves toward the door) No. Stay here.
(He opens the door slowly. The porch light flickers. The driveway looks empty— but then he notices something tucked under the windshield wiper of his truck.)
(He walks over, grabs it. It’s a small folded note. The handwriting is familiar. He opens it— the words are short and chilling.)
NOTE:
“You’re not done hiding yet. I saw everything. – S.”
Anthony’s face drains of color. Amber steps onto the porch behind him.)
Amber: What is it? Who’s it from?
Anthony: (staring at the note, voice low) Shayla was here… but this— this isn’t her handwriting.
(he turns the paper over. There’s something else written on the back, faint, like from a different pen.)
“Check your phone.”
(Anthony’s phone buzzes in his pocket. He pulls it out, hands shaking. A new message flashes on the screen — an unknown number.)
MESSAGE:
“You lied to both of them. Time to tell the truth before I do.”
(Attached is a short video thumbnail — titled “CABIN_03.mp4.”)
Amber: (backing up, voice cracking) Oh my God… what did you do, Anthony?
Anthony: (whispers) It’s not what you think… but if she sees this— we’re both finished.
(He taps the screen. The video begins to play — flickering images, rain, shouting — a flash of Shayla’s face, then a scream. The camera cuts to black.)
Amber: (screaming) Turn it off! TURN IT OFF!
(He drops the phone, heart pounding. The video keeps looping faintly, the distorted audio echoing through the night.)
Anthony: (barely breathing) Someone knows. And they’re not going to stop until everything comes out.
(Lightning flashes outside. The note slips from his hand — and on the back, now visible in the porch light, another message scrawled in darker ink reads:)
“Tomorrow night. 9PM. The cabin. Come alone.”
(Cut to black.)
