The day started normally at Wayne’s podcast studio.

“Why are you here, Dan?” she asked.

But Dan wasn't listening.

“You've been ignoring me for days!” he shouted.

Lauren stepped back.

“I don't owe you an explanation.”

Those words made Dan even angrier.

He moved toward Lauren and grabbed her arm.

“Let go of me!” Lauren yelled.

Dan refused.

Lauren tried to pull away, but the situation suddenly became frightening.

He rushed out of the studio.

“What is going on?!”

Wayne froze when he saw Dan holding Lauren.

“DAN! LET HER GO!”

Dan immediately released her.

Lauren stepped away, visibly shaken.

Wayne walked between them.

“You don't put your hands on her. Ever.”

Dan tried to defend himself.

“You don't understand what happened!”

Wayne pointed toward the parking lot.

“I don't care what happened. You had no right to put your hands on her.”

Dan became defensive.

“She lied to me!”

Lauren shouted back, “I never lied to you!”

Wayne looked at Lauren and asked, “Are you okay?”

Lauren nodded, but her voice was trembling.

“I'm okay. I just want him to leave.”

Wayne turned toward Dan.

“You heard her.”

Dan stared at Wayne.

“This isn't over.”

Wayne didn't move.

“Yes, it is. You're leaving now.”

Dan finally walked away.

But Wayne wasn't finished.

He went back into the studio and checked the security cameras.

What he saw made his blood run cold.

The cameras had captured the entire confrontation.

Wayne watched the footage carefully.

There was no misunderstanding.

Dan had approached Lauren aggressively, and Lauren had repeatedly tried to get away.

Wayne immediately realized that the situation could have become much worse.

Lauren sat down in the studio.

“I didn't want this to happen,” she said quietly.

Wayne replied, “None of this is your fault.”

Lauren looked at him.

“I was scared.”

Wayne nodded.

“You did the right thing by getting away and asking for help.”

Then Lauren revealed something that shocked Wayne.

“Dan has been angry with me for weeks. I've been getting messages from him, and I didn't know what to do.”

Wayne's expression changed.

“Why didn't you tell me?”

“I thought I could handle it myself.”

Wayne shook his head.

“You shouldn't have had to.”

A few minutes later, Wayne helped Lauren document what had happened and encouraged her to contact the appropriate authorities if she felt unsafe.

Meanwhile, Dan was sitting in his car outside the building, furious.

He thought Wayne would eventually forget about the incident.

But he was wrong.

Wayne had the security footage.

Wayne couldn't believe it.

Lauren reached for her phone.

“I have the messages.”

She opened her phone and showed Wayne the conversation.

Wayne's expression changed immediately.

Someone close to the podcast had apparently been feeding Dan information about Lauren.

And suddenly, the confrontation didn't look like an isolated argument anymore.

Wayne looked at Lauren.

Lauren nodded.
