๐ฑ Finally! Amber slaps Dave across the face right in front of Anthony! ๐๐ฅ. What do Dave next ๐คจ
The room fell completely silent the moment Amber's hand struck Dave across the face.
SMACK!
Everyone froze.
Anthony stood just a few feet away, staring in disbelief. The argument had started with raised voices, but no one expected it to become physical.
Dave slowly turned his head back toward Amber. A red mark was already forming on his cheek, but instead of shouting back or raising his hand, he simply looked at her with a mixture of shock and disappointment.
"Was that really necessary?" Dave asked quietly.
Amber's chest rose and fell as she struggled to control her anger.
"You lied to everyone!" she yelled. "You made Anthony believe I betrayed him. You turned my friends against me. And now you're pretending to be innocent?"
Anthony looked back and forth between them, unsure what to believe.
"What is she talking about?" he asked Dave.
Dave remained silent.
That silence made everyone even more suspicious.
Amber pulled out her phone.
"I didn't want to do this," she said. "But you left me no choice."
She tapped the screen and played an audio recording.
Dave's own voice echoed through the room.
"If Anthony thinks Amber betrayed him, they'll never get back together. Then everything will go exactly as planned."
Anthony's eyes widened.
"Dave... that's your voice."
Dave looked down at the floor.
"I can explain."
Amber shook her head.
"No. You've been explaining for months. It's time to tell the truth."
Several friends who had gathered for the meeting stepped closer.
One by one, they admitted they had believed Dave's version of events without ever asking Amber for her side.
Anthony felt guilty.
"I accused you," he whispered to Amber. "I never even asked whether it was true."
Amber's eyes filled with tears.
"You stopped trusting me long before today."
For the first time, Anthony realized how much pain his doubt had caused.
Finally, Dave took a deep breath.
"Fine," he said. "Yes... I lied."
The room erupted with shocked reactions.
"I was jealous," Dave admitted. "Every time Anthony chose you over me, I felt invisible. I convinced myself that if I broke the two of you apart, things would somehow get better."
Anthony couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"You destroyed our relationship because you were jealous?"
Dave nodded slowly.
"I never thought it would go this far."
Amber crossed her arms.
"But it did."
Dave apologized to both of them.
"I'm sorry for every lie. I'm sorry for every rumor. I'm sorry for manipulating everyone."
Anthony looked at Amber.
"I don't know if we can fix everything overnight, but I know one thing—I should have trusted you."
Amber sighed.
"Trust isn't rebuilt with words. It's rebuilt with actions."
Anthony nodded.
"I understand."
Dave then made an unexpected decision.
"I'm leaving."
Everyone looked at him.
"I've caused enough damage. I need to take responsibility and give both of you the space to heal."
Without another word, Dave picked up his jacket and walked toward the door.
Just before leaving, he turned around one last time.
"I hope someday you'll both forgive me—not because I deserve it, but because carrying anger forever only hurts you."
The door closed behind him.
Silence filled the room once again.
Anthony looked at Amber.
"I can't change the past," he said softly. "But if you'll let me, I'd like to earn back your trust."
Amber didn't answer immediately.
After a long pause, she finally said, "We'll see. This time, actions matter more than promises."
Anthony nodded, accepting that rebuilding what had been broken would take time.
As Dave walked away alone, he realized the slap wasn't what hurt the most.
The deepest pain came from knowing that his own choices had cost him the friendship and respect of the people who once trusted him.
That day changed all three of their lives forever.
Amber found the courage to stand up for herself.
Anthony learned that trust should never be replaced by assumptions.
And Dave learned that one lie can destroy years of friendship—but only honesty and accountability can begin to repair the damage.
