Dave and Shayla together! Did Dave betray Amber, or is Shayla back again

Dave and Shayla Together! Did Dave Betray Amber, or Is Shayla Back Again? 😱💔

The quiet afternoon at the shopping plaza was supposed to be uneventful. Amber had just finished meeting with a client and was walking toward the parking lot when something caught her attention.

Across the street, she spotted Dave.

He wasn't alone.

Standing beside him was Shayla.

The two were talking closely, smiling as they walked into a nearby café together. From where Amber stood, it looked like they were enjoying each other's company, completely unaware that anyone was watching.

Amber's heart sank.

"Why would Dave be meeting Shayla?" she whispered to herself.

Only a few months earlier, Shayla had disappeared after a series of dramatic arguments that nearly destroyed several friendships. Amber believed that chapter of their lives was finally over. Seeing Shayla standing beside Dave brought back every painful memory.

Unable to ignore what she had seen, Amber quietly followed them into the café. She chose a table in the back corner where neither Dave nor Shayla could easily spot her.

For nearly twenty minutes, she watched them.

They laughed.

They looked through documents together.

At one point, Dave even reached across the table and briefly held Shayla's hand while reassuring her about something. To Amber, that single moment was enough to convince her the worst had happened.

Tears filled her eyes.

"So this is why you've been acting distant," she thought.

Dave had been coming home late, taking mysterious phone calls, and canceling weekend plans. Amber had tried to trust him, but now every excuse seemed like part of a much bigger lie.

Unable to contain her emotions any longer, Amber stood up and marched straight to their table.

"So this is what you've been hiding?"

The café fell silent.

Dave looked up in complete shock.

"Amber? What are you doing here?"

Amber crossed her arms.

"No... the real question is what are you doing here with Shayla?"

Shayla immediately stood.

"It's not what you think."

Amber laughed bitterly.

"Really? Because from where I'm standing, it looks exactly like what I think."

Several customers quietly watched as the tension grew.

Dave asked Amber to sit down so he could explain everything, but she refused.

"I've heard enough excuses."

She turned to leave.

Before she reached the door, Dave called out.

"Please... just give me five minutes."

Something in his voice made Amber stop.

She slowly turned around.

Dave opened the folder that had been sitting on the table.

Inside were dozens of papers, photographs, and financial records.

Amber frowned.

"What is all this?"

Dave slid one photograph toward her.

"I've been helping Shayla prove her innocence."

Amber looked confused.

Shayla took a deep breath.

"For months, everyone believed I was responsible for stealing money from the company."

Amber nodded.

"Because the evidence pointed to you."

"Exactly," Shayla replied. "But someone planted that evidence."

Dave continued.

"I never told you because we weren't sure who the real person was. If the truth leaked too soon, the actual culprit would destroy the remaining evidence."

Amber slowly looked through the documents.

Bank transfers.

Security camera images.

Email records.

Every page suggested that someone else had carefully framed Shayla for the entire scandal.

Amber's anger slowly turned into uncertainty.

"So... you weren't meeting in secret because you're together?"

Dave shook his head.

"No."

Shayla added softly, "I came back because I wanted to clear my name—not to ruin your relationship."

Just then, Dave's phone rang.

The screen displayed an unknown number.

He answered.

The color drained from his face.

"What?"

He stood up immediately.

"When did this happen?"

Amber and Shayla exchanged worried looks.

Dave ended the call and looked at both women.

"The office has been broken into."

"What?" Amber gasped.

"The files we've been collecting..." Dave said quietly. "...they're gone."

The three rushed to the office.

When they arrived, filing cabinets had been forced open, computers were missing, and papers were scattered across the floor.

Whoever had broken in knew exactly what they were looking for.

Amber realized the thief hadn't stolen money or electronics—they had targeted the evidence.

As the police began examining the scene, one officer discovered that a small security camera had survived the break-in.

Everyone gathered around the monitor.

The footage began to play.

A hooded figure entered the office late at night.

The person's face was hidden, but just before leaving, they accidentally turned toward the camera.

Dave froze.

Amber covered her mouth.

Shayla couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"It's... impossible," Amber whispered.

The face on the screen belonged to someone they all trusted—someone who had spent months pretending to help them while secretly manipulating every event from the shadows.

Dave realized their investigation had uncovered a conspiracy much larger than they had imagined. If the mysterious person had gone this far to erase the evidence, they would stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

Amber looked at Dave, no longer doubting his loyalty.

"I'm sorry I assumed the worst."

Dave nodded.

"We don't have time for blame anymore."

Shayla stepped forward with determination.

"They've taken our evidence."

Dave looked at both women.

"Then we'll find new evidence—and this time, we'll expose the truth once and for all."

As police lights flashed outside the office, the three of them formed an uneasy alliance, knowing that the battle ahead would test their trust, courage, and friendships like never before
