Something felt off.
Amber tried to hide a laugh while Dave struggled to keep a straight face.
Anthony frowned.
"What are you two smiling about?"
Dave shrugged casually.
"Oh, nothing..."
Amber covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing.
Anthony crossed his arms.
"Seriously. What's so funny?"
Dave leaned back in his chair with a grin.
"Let's just say... we saw everything you did."
The room suddenly became silent.
Anthony's eyes widened.
"What are you talking about?"
Anthony Starts to Panic
Anthony quickly replayed the last 24 hours in his mind.

The conversation immediately caught everyone's attention.

Anthony buried his face in his hands.

The Mystery Grows
Everyone wanted to see the video.
Anthony tried convincing Dave not to play it.
"Come on, man. Delete it."
Dave shook his head.
"No chance."
Amber added,
"This is too funny."
Anthony became more nervous by the second.
"What did I even do?"
Dave smiled.

Dave finally pressed play.

Without noticing the garden hose lying across the grass...
Anthony accidentally stepped on it.
The hose flipped upward, spraying water directly into the air.
Startled, Anthony jumped backward.
His feet slipped on the wet grass.
Instead of falling completely, he spun around in circles trying to regain his balance.
The tray flew into the air.
Plastic cups landed everywhere.
One empty cup landed perfectly on top of Anthony's head.
The video ended with Anthony standing completely frozen while everyone nearby tried not to laugh.
For two seconds, the room stayed silent.
Then the entire family burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Anthony Can't Believe It
Anthony stared at the screen.
"I looked like that?"
Amber laughed so hard she could barely breathe.
"You were trying so hard to stay cool!"
Dave wiped tears from his eyes.
"The cup landing on your head was the best part."
Even Anthony couldn't stop himself from smiling.
"I can't believe someone actually recorded that."
Dave grinned.
"I wasn't even planning to. I just happened to be filming the decorations."
Friendly Payback
Anthony shook his head.
"You two are never going to let me forget this, are you?"
Amber smiled.
"Definitely not."
Dave laughed.
"Every family needs at least one legendary blooper."
Anthony pointed at both of them.
"Fine. But the next time one of you does something embarrassing, I'll have my phone ready."
Amber laughed.
"So this means we're even?"
Anthony smiled.

A New Family Joke
For the rest of the evening, everyone continued joking about Anthony's unexpected "garden performance."
Whenever someone picked up a drink, Dave would jokingly ask,

Whenever anyone walked across the lawn, Amber would dramatically warn,
"Watch out for the hose!"
Even Anthony eventually laughed along with everyone else.

And although Dave and Amber kept teasing him by saying, "We saw everything you did," Anthony had the last laugh.
As everyone prepared to leave, he quietly picked up Dave's phone, snapped a goofy selfie of the two of them making exaggerated surprised faces, and set it as Dave's lock screen.
The next morning, Dave unlocked his phone in front of friends, saw the photo, and burst out laughing.
