The courthouse was silent as everyone waited for the judge to deliver the final decision. Anthony sat at the defense table, barely able to breathe. Across the room, Shayla held Kai's hand while Amber watched nervously from the front row. D'Nisha, Dave, Bethany, Charlotte, and Larry had all come to witness what everyone believed would be the end of Anthony's relationship with the little boy he loved like his own son.
