😱 Bethany’s Health Suddenly Collapses 😰 Larry Rushes Her to the Hospital in Panic!
It was supposed to be a normal day. Nothing dramatic, nothing unusual.
But sometimes the worst moments start on the most normal days.
Bethany had been feeling tired for a few days, but she ignored it. She told everyone she was just stressed, just not sleeping well, just dealing with too many things at once. She didn’t want anyone to worry, especially
Larry.
That morning, Bethany was in the kitchen making coffee. Larry was in the living room on his laptop, answering emails and half watching TV. Everything felt quiet and normal.
Then Larry heard a strange noise.
A glass falling.
Shattering on the floor.
He looked up immediately.
“Bethany?” he called.
No answer.
He stood up and walked toward the kitchen.
“Bethany?” he called again, louder this time.
When he reached the kitchen, his heart dropped instantly.
Bethany was holding onto the counter with one hand, her face pale, her breathing heavy. The broken glass was on the floor near her feet.
“Bethany, what’s wrong?” Larry asked quickly, rushing toward her.
She tried to speak, but her voice was weak.
“I… I don’t feel good,” she said quietly.
Larry grabbed her arm to help her sit down, but suddenly her legs gave out.
She collapsed.
Larry caught her before she hit the floor completely.
“Bethany! Bethany! Look at me!” he said, panic rising in his voice.
Her eyes were half open, but she looked dizzy and confused.
“I feel… dizzy…” she whispered.
Then her head fell against his shoulder.
🚨 Panic
Larry’s hands started shaking.
“Bethany! Stay with me! Hey, look at me!” he said, tapping her cheek lightly.
She didn’t respond properly. Her breathing was slow, and she looked like she was about to pass out completely.
Larry grabbed his phone with one hand and tried to hold her with the other.
He dialed emergency services but then hung up after a few seconds.
“No, no, I’m taking you myself,” he said quickly.
He carefully picked her up and carried her to the car as fast as he could.
“Stay with me, Bethany. Don’t close your eyes,” he kept saying.
She whispered weakly, “I’m tired…”
“No! Don’t go to sleep. Talk to me,” Larry said, almost begging now.
He helped her into the passenger seat, ran to the driver’s side, and started the car quickly.
His hands were shaking so much he almost dropped the keys.
🚗 The Drive to the Hospital
The drive felt like the longest drive of Larry’s life.
He kept looking at Bethany every few seconds.
“Bethany, talk to me. Say something,” he said.
She slowly turned her head toward him.
“I’m okay…” she whispered.
“No, you’re not okay,” he said quickly. “You just collapsed!”
She tried to smile a little, but she looked very weak.
Larry drove faster than he ever had before.
“Just stay awake. We’re almost there,” he kept saying.
Inside, he was terrified.
All the arguments, the fights, the drama, the lies — none of that mattered at that moment.
The only thing that mattered was that she was sitting in that seat looking pale and weak.
Larry realized something in that moment:
He was more scared of losing her than he was of anything else.
🏥 At the Hospital
Larry ran into the hospital almost carrying Bethany.
“Someone help! She collapsed! She just fainted!” he shouted.
Nurses quickly brought a wheelchair and helped Bethany sit down.
“When did this happen?” a nurse asked.
“Like 10 minutes ago. She got dizzy and just fell,” Larry said quickly.
They took Bethany into a room and told Larry to wait outside.
“I’m coming with her,” Larry said.
“Sir, please wait here,” the nurse replied.
Larry stopped outside the room, watching them take Bethany away.
For the first time in a long time, he felt completely helpless.
He sat down in the waiting chair, put his hands on his head, and just stared at the floor.
“Please be okay… please be okay…” he whispered.
⏳ Waiting
Waiting felt like hours, even though it was probably only 20 or 30 minutes.
Larry kept replaying the moment in the kitchen in his head.
Her falling.
Her weak voice.
Her pale face.
He kept thinking:
What if I didn’t hear the glass break?
What if I came later?
What if she was alone?
That thought scared him the most.
Finally, a doctor came out.
“Are you Larry?” the doctor asked.
Larry stood up immediately.
“Yes. How is she? Is she okay?”
The doctor nodded slightly.
“She’s stable now. She fainted due to extreme stress, dehydration, and exhaustion. Her blood pressure dropped suddenly.”
Larry exhaled deeply for the first time since the kitchen.
“So she’s going to be okay?” he asked.
“Yes, but she needs rest, less stress, and proper care. Her body basically shut down because she’s been pushing herself too hard.”
Larry looked toward the room where Bethany was.
“Can I see her?” he asked.
“Yes, but she needs to stay calm,” the doctor said.
💔 The Hospital Room
Larry walked into the room slowly.
Bethany was lying on the bed with an IV in her arm.
She looked tired, but she was awake.
When she saw Larry, she gave a small smile.
“You look scared,” she said weakly.
Larry walked closer to the bed and shook his head.
“You scared me,” he replied quietly.
She looked at him for a few seconds.
“I’m sorry,” she said.
Larry pulled a chair and sat next to her bed.
“Don’t apologize for getting sick,” he said.
There was a long silence.
Then Larry spoke again, very quietly:
“When you fell… I thought I lost you.”
Bethany looked at him, surprised by his honesty.
Larry continued:
“Nothing else mattered in that moment. Not the arguments, not the problems, not the past. Just you.”
Bethany didn’t say anything for a moment.
Then she said softly:
“Sometimes it takes something like this for people to realize what really matters.”
Larry nodded slowly.
He looked at her hand and gently held it.
“Just get better,” he said quietly.
Bethany looked at him and whispered:
“I will.”
And for the first time in a long time, they sat there in silence — not angry, not arguing, not blaming each other — just quiet, scared, and realizing how close they came to losing everything. 😰
