OMG! Bethany Opened Larry’s Emails… and the Truth Shocked Her — They’re in Puerto Rico! 😳📧🌴
It started like any other ordinary afternoon.
Bethany was sitting alone in the living room, the quiet hum of the house surrounding her. The sun was coming through the window, but the peaceful light didn’t match the uneasy feeling inside her chest.
For weeks, something about Larry had been different.
He had been distant.
He was always on his phone, always stepping outside to take calls. When Bethany asked him simple questions like “Where are you?” or “When are you coming home?”, his answers were always short.
“Busy.”
“At work.”
“I’ll talk later.”
At first, Bethany tried to ignore it.
But the feeling in her heart kept getting stronger.
Something wasn’t right.
That day, Bethany walked past the kitchen counter and noticed Larry’s laptop sitting there. The screen was still on. Normally Larry locked everything — his phone, his laptop, even his tablet.
But today…
The laptop was open.
Bethany stopped walking.
Her eyes slowly moved toward the screen.
She wasn’t the type of person who liked going through other people’s things. But after weeks of confusion and sleepless nights, curiosity started fighting with her conscience.
She whispered to herself quietly,
“Maybe I’m just overthinking.”
Still…
Her feet slowly carried her closer to the laptop.
Bethany sat down in the chair.
The screen showed Larry’s email inbox.
Her heart started beating faster.
At first, she only glanced at the subject lines.
Work emails.
Bank notifications.
Random advertisements.
Nothing unusual.
Bethany almost closed the laptop.
But then…
One email caught her attention.
“Your Puerto Rico Reservation is Confirmed ✈️🌴”
Bethany froze.
Her eyes widened.
“Puerto Rico…?” she whispered.
Her heart suddenly started pounding.
Larry never told her anything about Puerto Rico.
Slowly, Bethany clicked the email.
The message opened.
Inside were flight details.
Hotel reservations.
Travel confirmations.
Dates.
Names.
Bethany read it once.
Then again.
Then again.
And that’s when her stomach dropped.
Larry’s name was on the reservation.
But he wasn’t alone.
There were other names listed too.
Bethany leaned closer to the screen, her hands shaking.
“Purnell…” she read out loud.
“And Sharra…”
Her heart sank.
Her mind started racing.
Why would Larry be in Puerto Rico with them?
Why didn’t he tell me?
Bethany quickly scrolled through more emails.
Another one appeared.
Airbnb Booking Confirmation — San Juan, Puerto Rico
Bethany opened it.
Pictures of a tropical house appeared.
Palm trees.
A beach view.
A luxury balcony overlooking the ocean.
Bethany stared at the screen in disbelief.
Her voice was barely a whisper.
“So he’s really there…”
She quickly checked the date of the reservation.
Today.
Her heart dropped.
Larry wasn’t just planning to go.
He was already there.
Bethany leaned back in the chair slowly.
Her mind felt numb.
All the moments from the past few weeks suddenly started making sense.
The late nights.
The secret phone calls.
The strange behavior.
He wasn’t busy with work.
He wasn’t stressed.
He wasn’t tired.
He was in Puerto Rico.
And he didn’t tell her.
Bethany felt anger starting to rise inside her chest.
“Are you serious, Larry?” she said under her breath.
She grabbed her phone immediately.
Her hands were shaking as she dialed Larry’s number.
The phone rang.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
Finally, Larry answered.
“Hey,” he said casually.
“Bethany, what’s up?”
Bethany didn’t respond right away.
Her voice came out cold.
“Where are you?”
There was a pause on the phone.
Larry answered quickly.
“At work.”
Bethany’s eyes slowly closed.
For a moment, she didn’t even feel anger anymore.
Just disappointment.
She slowly turned the laptop screen back toward her.
Then she said quietly,
“That’s interesting.”
Larry sounded confused.
“What do you mean?”
Bethany’s voice became sharper.
“Because according to your emails… you’re not at work.”
Another silence.
Larry didn’t speak.
Bethany continued.
“You’re in Puerto Rico.”
The line suddenly went quiet.
Larry didn’t say anything for a few seconds.
Bethany could almost imagine his face on the other side of the phone.
Shocked.
Panicking.
Trying to think of an excuse.
Finally, Larry spoke.
“Bethany… I can explain.”
Bethany laughed softly.
But it wasn’t a happy laugh.
“Oh really?” she said.
“Then explain why I’m looking at your flight confirmation and your Airbnb reservation right now.”
Larry sighed heavily.
“Bethany listen—”
But Bethany cut him off.
“No, Larry. You listen.”
Her voice was calm, but every word carried weight.
“For weeks you’ve been lying to me.”
“You told me you were working late.”
“You told me you were busy.”
“And now I find out you’re in Puerto Rico?”
Larry tried again.
“It’s not like that.”
Bethany shook her head slowly.
“Oh really? Then what is it like?”
Larry hesitated.
Bethany looked back at the email.
“Because from what I see… you, Purnell, and Sharra are enjoying a nice vacation while I’m sitting here wondering why my husband is acting like a stranger.”
Larry finally said quietly,
“I didn’t want you to get upset.”
Bethany laughed again.
“You didn’t want me to get upset?”
She stood up from the chair.
“Well congratulations, Larry.”
“Because now I’m more than upset.”
She took a deep breath.
“You lied.”
“You hid this.”
“And you thought I would never find out.”
Larry stayed silent.
Bethany looked around the empty house.
Then she said something that made Larry’s heart drop.
“Enjoy Puerto Rico, Larry.”
“Because when you come back…”
Her voice turned cold.
“We’re going to have a very serious conversation.”
And before Larry could respond…
Bethany hung up the phone.
The house fell silent again.
Bethany slowly closed the laptop.
But one thought kept repeating in her mind.
If Larry could lie about this…
What else had he been hiding?
And for the first time…
Bethany realized something terrifying.
This Puerto Rico trip might just be the beginning of a much bigger secret. 😳
