A...You’re Jealous, Anthony!” — Shayla Defends Her New Man 😱
Anthony barged into Shayla’s apartment without knocking, his jaw tight, eyes burning with questions he’d held in for weeks. Shayla looked up from the couch, completely unbothered, scrolling her phone with a small smile on her face.
“Where is he, Shayla?” Anthony snapped.
“Who?” she replied, not even looking up.
“You know exactly who. The man you’ve been meeting every night.”
Shayla finally put her phone down, crossed her legs, and smirked.
“Ohhh… him. Why? You need something?”
Anthony’s chest rose and fell with annoyance.
“I need to know who this guy is and why he’s always around you. Kai is still MY son, and I don’t want random men—"
Shayla stood up sharply.
“Stop right there. First of all, he’s not random. Second… why do you care? Hmm?”
Anthony clenched his teeth.
“I’m just trying to protect my family.”
Shayla stepped closer, her eyebrow raised.
“No. You’re trying to protect your ego.”
Anthony took a step back, stunned.
Shayla’s voice softened, but the words hit harder than ever:
“Face it, Anthony… you’re jealous.”
“Me? Jealous?” he scoffed. “Why would I be jealous?”
“Because,” she whispered, “for the first time, someone treats me the way you never did.”
Anthony’s jaw twitched. His voice lowered.
“So that’s it? You replaced me already?”
“You replaced yourself,” she shot back. “I begged you to choose me. I begged you to prioritise us. You didn’t. He did. Simple.”
Just then, a knock came at the door.
Anthony turned, and there he was—tall, confident, holding a bouquet of flowers.
Shayla smiled brightly.
“You’re early,” she said to him.
“I couldn’t wait,” he replied, kissing her hand.
Anthony felt his heart drop straight to the floor.
Shayla gently closed the door behind her new man, then faced Anthony again.
“If you want to be in Kai’s life, great. But my life?” She shook her head slowly. “You don’t get to control that anymore.”
Anthony stared at her, speechless—hurt mixing with a sudden realization he never wanted to admit.
Shayla placed a hand on her hip.
“Now go home, Anthony. Before your jealousy embarrasses you even more.”
She walked away, leaving him standing alone in the hallway, finally facing the truth he’d been avoiding:
Shayla had moved on…
And this time, she wasn’t looking back.
