AW...You’re Jealous, Anthony!” — Shayla Defends Her New Man 😱
✨ The Drop-Off Reunion
Anthony stepped inside holding little Kai’s hand. Shayla’s eyes lit up the moment she saw them.
“Look who it is. It’s mommy.”
“Hi, mommy’s baby!” Shayla bent down, arms open. “Bring him down here.”
Kai acted shy for a moment, then ran into her arms.
“Oh my gosh! Did you miss your mommy? Come here, son.”
“You acting funny? We had big fun today,” Anthony said with a grin.
✨ Small Talk & Subtle Tension
“How was he?” Shayla asked, fixing Kai’s shirt.
“He was great. He’s always great.”
“I love your outfit, man.”
“Yeah, he had to stunt on ’em real quick,” Anthony joked.
They exchanged updates—snacks, clothes, the usual drop-off details.
“I put his dirty clothes in a plastic bag.”
“Okay perfect. Next time, maybe you could wash them… but I’ll do it.”
“Yeah… yeah.”
✨ A Moment of Peace
Anthony cleared his throat.
“Shayla, look… I’m glad we’re at a point where we can do this.”
“Me too.”
“We’re in a better space, and I appreciate that. It makes life easier.”
Shayla nodded slowly.
“And we both want what’s best for our son.”
“Yes. Absolutely.”
“I appreciate you letting him spend time with me again.”
✨ The Comment That Changed Everything
Anthony hesitated… then said it.
“You really are a good mother. I just wanna tell you… don’t let a man get in the way of you staying a good mom.”
Shayla froze.
“Excuse me? What?”
“I mean—don’t let a man come between you and Kai. Don’t put a man before him.”
✨ Shayla Snaps Back
Shayla blinked, stunned.
“I’m sorry… what do you mean by that? Do you think that I am YOU, Anthony?”
He frowned. “What?”
“Because that’s what you do. You put a woman before your son. You left a happy home to chase a relationship. And now you’re lecturing ME?”
Anthony tried to speak, but she kept going.
“Just because I found a good man—who loves me, supports me, teaches me, doesn’t judge me, and has been a positive influence on my life and my son’s life—does NOT mean I would ever put anything before Kai.”
Her voice sharpened.
“While you were trying to make things work with Amber, guess who was taking care of our child? Me. Every day. Every night.”
Anthony looked down.
“So don’t EVER tell me I put a man before my son. I never have. I never will.”
✨ The Truth He Didn’t Want to Hear
“And let’s be honest,” she added, shifting Kai on her hip.
“You’re jealous. You didn’t think I could find someone better—successful, fine, tall, mature. You thought I’d be alone forever. Didn’t you?”
Anthony said nothing.
✨ The Exit
“Say bye to your daddy,” she told Kai.
“Bye-bye!”
“Bye, man…” Anthony whispered as the door closed slowly in front of him.
