AW...Shayla’s House Drama Amber Puts Her Foot Down 😱
Shayla’s House Drama: Protecting Your Peace 💅🔥
There are some evenings that just feel magical — the kind where the world slows down, and you can actually breathe. That’s exactly how Amber and Anthony spent theirs recently. They were sitting outside on the porch, the sun melting into shades of gold and lavender, the kind of peaceful silence that makes everything else fade away. Amber was humming a song to herself, smiling like she had her own private concert going on in her head.
Anthony, curious as ever, asked, “Babe, what are you doing?”
“Having a concert in my head,” she replied, still smiling.
He laughed and teased, “With AirPods?”
“Nope,” she said. “Just in my head. Guess the song.”
He guessed a few — “Sexy Red?” “LL Cool J?” — and Amber shook her head each time. Finally, she said, “Cupid.” Anthony chuckled. “You don’t even know the words.”
“Neither do you!” Amber shot back. And just like that, they both laughed. There was something sweet about this moment — the carefree energy, the shared silliness, the melody lingering in their heads.
But then Amber’s smile faded slightly. “It’s just… Shayla,” she said. Anthony’s face changed.
“What about Shayla?” he asked.
“She thinks that since I didn’t buy her a house, the least I could do is furnish it,” Amber explained.
Anthony blinked, a little stunned.
Amber’s tone hardened, calm but firm. “No. No. No. And once again… no. We are not furnishing Shayla’s house.”
Anthony tried to reason, “But Kai’s going to be living there. I don’t want him to go without.”
Amber softened, nodding. “You’re right. Kai deserves a beautiful room — a nice bed, a dresser, maybe a little rocking chair. But that’s it. Not the whole house.”
Anthony nodded, knowing this was final. Amber gave him that look — calm, assertive, and protective. The kind of look that says, “Boundaries are set. Peace comes first.”
Then Amber went back to her imaginary concert. “Next song: Can’t Have My Joy,” she said, humming louder this time. “Can’t have my joy, can’t have my peace… it belongs to me!” Anthony joined in, laughing, “It belongs to me!” Amber added, “Not my energy, not my vibe… it belongs to me!”
They laughed together, watching the sunset glow around them, the tension completely gone. That evening was a perfect reminder: sometimes, all it takes is a song, a little laughter, and firm boundaries to protect your peace.
Lesson of the day: Set your boundaries, protect your energy, and remember — no one should ever make you compromise your peace, not even an ex.
