“Court Mail Arrives… and Shayla Can’t Escape the Truth About Kai’s DNA 😱📩”

📩 SHAYLA RECEIVES MAIL FROM COURT ABOUT KAI’S DNA TEST 😱

The morning sunlight streamed weakly through Shayla’s curtains, but she didn’t feel its warmth. For weeks, her chest had been tight, her nerves raw. She had been living in constant fear — fear that Anthony’s decision to push for a court-ordered DNA test would come back to haunt her.

And then… it happened.

The Envelope Arrives

There was a knock at the door. Shayla thought it was the mailman with bills, but when she opened it, she froze. The delivery man handed her a thick, official-looking envelope stamped with the court’s seal. Her hands immediately began to shake.

“Ma’am, this requires your signature,” the man said flatly.

With trembling fingers, Shayla scribbled her name and took the envelope inside. She set it on the kitchen table, staring at it as if it were a bomb about to go off.

Across the front, in bold letters, it read:

“Superior Court of Georgia – Paternity Case: Kai Vaxter.”

Shayla’s knees nearly buckled.

The Moment of Truth

She sat at the table, staring at the seal, unable to move. Her heart pounded in her ears. “No, no, no…” she whispered to herself. “It’s too soon. I thought we had more time…”

Finally, with shaking hands, she tore it open. Inside was the court’s certified result. Her eyes scanned desperately until they landed on the words she dreaded:

“Probability of paternity: 0.00%.”

Her breath caught. The room spun. Tears welled in her eyes as her worst fear was now black and white, written on official paper.

Kai… was not Anthony’s son.

The Panic Sets In

Shayla dropped the paper on the floor, clutching her chest. “No… Anthony’s going to kill me. He’s going to hate me forever…”

Her phone buzzed on the counter. It was Anthony. The timing sent chills down her spine. He didn’t know yet, but the court must have mailed his copy, too.

Her hands hovered over the phone, terrified to answer. What if he had already opened his? What if this was the call that would change everything?

The Breaking Point

She ignored the call and instead picked up the report again, pacing the living room. Her mind raced — should she run? Should she hide the paper and pretend she never got it? Or should she get ahead of it and confess to Anthony before he read his?

Tears rolled down her face as she whispered to herself, “I should have told the truth from the start. I should have never lied about Kai’s father…”

But it was too late. The court had spoken.

The Knock on the Door

Just as she tried to gather her thoughts, another knock came at the door. Shayla froze, her stomach turning. Slowly, she opened it—

And there stood Anthony. His face pale. His jaw tight. And in his hand… the same envelope, already torn open.

The silence between them was deafening. He raised the paper, his eyes filled with fire and heartbreak.

“Shayla,” he said in a low, trembling voice. “We need to talk. Right now.”
