💔😢 “Anthony’s Guilt Over Cheating on Amber Pushes Him Into Depression”

The house was silent, but Anthony’s mind was louder than ever. He sat in the dark living room, the glow of the streetlights leaking in through the curtains. In his hand was a photo of Amber—her smile so warm, her eyes so full of love, a love he no longer deserved.

He had cheated.

Not once. Not a slip-up he could erase. He had betrayed the woman who stood by him when he had nothing, the woman who believed in him when everyone else turned their back.

And the guilt was swallowing him alive.

Amber’s Absence 💔

Amber hadn’t left him yet, but she was distant. She knew something was wrong, even if she didn’t know the full truth. She moved differently around him, her words softer but her eyes colder. The laughter that once filled their home had disappeared.

Anthony noticed. Every meal they shared in silence, every time she turned away from his touch, every night she rolled to the edge of the bed—he felt it like knives in his chest.

He wanted to tell her. He wanted to scream, “Amber, I’m sorry! I messed up! I love you, I only want you!”

But when he opened his mouth, nothing came out. Only shame.

The Spiral 🌑

Day by day, Anthony began to crumble.

He stopped going out. Calls from friends went unanswered. Work piled up, but he didn’t care. The gym sessions that once kept him strong turned into nights sitting in the dark with a bottle in his hand.

He replayed that night of betrayal over and over in his head, each time feeling more disgusted with himself.

The way Amber’s face would look if she found out—it haunted him.

Sometimes, he’d catch his reflection in the mirror and whisper to himself, “You’re a monster. You ruined everything.”

Amber’s Concern 😔

One evening, Amber found him sitting on the floor in the bathroom, his back against the wall, his eyes hollow. The bottle was still in his hand.

“Anthony…” her voice cracked. “What’s happening to you? Why are you shutting me out?”

He looked up at her, his eyes red and swollen. For a moment, he almost confessed. The truth clawed at his throat. But instead, he shook his head and muttered, “I don’t deserve you, Amber… I don’t deserve anything.”

Her heart broke seeing him like that. She sat beside him, holding his trembling hand. She didn’t know the truth yet—but she knew he was drowning.

The Breaking Point ⚡

Weeks passed, and Anthony’s depression deepened. He stopped smiling altogether. He barely ate. He would lie awake all night, staring at the ceiling, whispering Amber’s name in guilt.

One night, he broke down completely.

He grabbed the photo of Amber from the shelf, clutching it against his chest. Tears poured down his face as he whispered:
“I’m so sorry, Amber. I ruined us. I don’t know how to fix this. I don’t even know if I deserve to be alive after what I did to you.”

His sobs filled the room, shaking him to his core. He had never felt so weak, so lost, so unworthy.

Amber’s Discovery 😱

And then… fate delivered the final blow.

Amber accidentally found a message on Anthony’s old phone. One he hadn’t deleted. One that revealed everything.

Her body froze. Her heart shattered. The truth was out.

She walked into the living room, holding the phone in her hand. Anthony looked up, his face pale, his heart racing. He already knew—this was the moment.

Amber’s tears fell as she whispered:
“After everything I gave you… how could you do this to me, Anthony?”

Anthony collapsed to his knees, sobbing at her feet. “Amber, please… I hate myself for it. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t live with this guilt. Please, don’t leave me. You’re all I have left.”

Amber turned away, her chest heaving. She didn’t answer.

And for Anthony, the silence was worse than death.
